10 YEARS OF COS
A limited edition collection celebrating 10 years of COS is introduced on the following pages. Every item in this 10-piece capsule started life as a continuous rectangle of material. During an exacting design process, the space between individual pattern pieces was minimised, raising the bar for precision garments whose smart elements fit together like a puzzle. In order to maintain the perfect rectangle of its pattern, this stone-coloured technical cotton-mix dress has an unusually wide seam, which also acts as the internal facing of the arm opening.
A pleasing consequence of highly efficient use of material is the internal geometry it creates within garments.
The curved hem of this sand-coloured technical cotton-mix jacket echoes the curve of its sleeve heads. It is worn with sand-coloured technical cotton-mix shorts with elasticated waist.
COS designers and pattern cutters worked in synchronicity to create this striking decennial collection. The white organic cotton-poplin top with straight neckline is deceptive in its simplicity. Here, it is worn with sand-coloured technical cotton-mix shorts with elasticated waist.
The white organic cotton-poplin double-layered shirt dress shows the geometric potential of a single length of fabric.
Ancient garment-making techniques were key references in creating this sand-coloured technical cotton-mix kimono coat. It is worn with a sand-coloured technical cotton-mix skirt with zip.
This limited edition collection celebrating 10 years of COS is available online and in selected stores from the end of March 2017.
