Amanda Karsberg looks to the surreal in everyday life when designing objects and furniture from her studio in Stockholm.
She co-founded Cray Collective, a multidisciplinary group of artists with a shared fascination for the commonplace and the imaginative outcomes that can stem from mundane starting points.
Taking a playful approach, Karsberg’s work explores material, form and utility. She creates pieces that are functional and unexpected, such as marbled wood chairs or glassware with a fluid appearance.
