Located on an avenue running parallel with Istanbul’s Sea of Marmara coastline, the design of our Bağdat Caddesi store takes inspiration from the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
Striking circular windows cover the exterior, the geometric shapes referencing the Byzantine domes that dominate the city’s skyline. Cut-out sections play with these forms in a three-dimensional way. Textured concrete panels add tactility to the modern façade – a feature sourced locally during the construction process.
Inside, the vast space spans four floors, complete with calming lounge areas where people can pause for a moment. A navy staircase nods to blues seen across Istanbul’s architecture and within the nazar boncuğu, a Turkish amulet.
